国際交流クッキングイベント ― フィリピン代表としての参加とルンピアン・シャンハイの紹介 ― International Cultural Cooking Event – Representing the Philippines and Introducing Lumpiang Shanghai
今日は、中目黒の家でとってもにぎやかな国際交流クッキングイベントがありました！
Today, we had such a lively international cooking event here at nakameguro no ie!
インドネシア、ベトナム、日本、ミャンマー、そしてフィリピンの代表が集まって、それぞれのお国の味を披露しました。
Representatives from Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan, Myanmar, and the Philippines gathered to share the flavors of their home countries.
そしてフィリピン代表は…なんと私ひとり！（ちょっとドキドキ、でも誇らしい！）
And the representative of the Philippines was… drumroll please… just me! (A little nerve-racking, but very proud!)
今回私が作ったのは「ルンピアン・シャンハイ」。
This time, I made Lumpiang Shanghai.
日本の春巻きにちょっと似ていますが、中身の味付けや具材はフィリピンスタイルでひと味違います。
It looks a bit like Japanese harumaki (spring rolls), but the seasoning and filling are uniquely Filipino.
豚ひき肉に野菜、にんにく、そして愛情をたっぷり混ぜて、一本一本くるくる巻きました。
I mixed ground pork, vegetables, garlic, and a whole lot of love, then rolled each one carefully.
揚げている間、キッチンにはジュワ〜ッという幸せな音といい香りが広がって、みんなが「まだ？まだ？」とそわそわ。
While they were frying, the kitchen filled with that happy sizzling sound and mouthwatering aroma, and everyone kept asking, “Are they ready yet?”
どの国のチームも本当に協力的で、笑い声が絶えないクッキングタイムでした。
Every country’s team was so cooperative, and the kitchen was full of laughter.
言葉が少し違っても、「おいしい！」の笑顔は世界共通ですね。
Even if our languages are different, a smile that says “delicious!” is universal.
私は介護士としてつばめの里グループホームで働いていますが、今日はちょっと“フィリピン親善大使”の気分でした。
As a caregiver working at Tsubame no Sato, I felt a bit like a “Philippine goodwill ambassador” today.
ひとりでの参加は少しさみしかったけれど、次はもっと多くのフィリピン人仲間と一緒に参加できたらうれしいなと思います。
Although I was alone this time, I hope that next time more fellow Filipinos can join and represent with me.
そして次回は、ご利用者様にもぜひ食べていただきたいです。
Next time, I would love for our elderly residents to taste it too.
カリッとしたルンピアン・シャンハイを「おいしいね」と言いながら食べてもらえたら、きっと最高に幸せです。
It would make me incredibly happy to see them enjoying the crispy Lumpiang Shanghai and saying, “This is delicious!”
料理はただお腹を満たすだけではなく、国と国、人と人の心をつなぐものだと改めて感じた一日でした。
Today reminded me that food doesn’t just fill the stomach—it connects countries and hearts.
次はどんな国の味に出会えるのか、そして私は何を作ろうかな？
I wonder what flavors from around the world we’ll discover next—and what I should cook next time?
