今日は待ちに待った運動会の日！
Today was the long-awaited Sports Day!

私たちは、本町東チーム（チームカラー：えんじ色）を応援するために出かけました。
We went out to cheer for the Honmachi Higashi team, proudly wearing their maroon color.

本町学園まで、みんなで歩いて向かいました。
We all walked together to Honmachi Gakuen for the event.

歩いている途中から、すでに元気な歓声や応援の声が聞こえてきて、ワクワクが止まりません。
Even as we were walking there, we could already hear lively cheers and shouts in the distance—it made us so excited.

会場に到着すると、たくさんの笑顔と大きな声援で迎えられました。
As we arrived at the venue, we were welcomed by many smiling faces and loud cheers.

それだけで、もう楽しい一日になる予感がいっぱいです。
Just that alone made us feel this day was going to be full of joy.

競技はどれも白熱していて、出場者たちは皆、本当に速くて真剣そのもの！
Every event was filled with energy, and the participants were all incredibly fast and focused!

応援にも熱が入り、「がんばれー！」という声があちこちから響いていました。
The cheering grew more intense, with voices shouting “Go for it!” echoing from all around.

そして、運動会の名物、「パン勝ち」の時間に。
Then came the famous “Pan-kachi” (Bread Grab Race) time.

…と思いきや、今年は少し違いました！
…Or so we thought—but this year was a little different!

なんと今年は「パン取り」ではなく、番号のついたタグを取って、それを景品と交換するスタイルに。
Instead of grabbing bread, participants had to grab a numbered tag and exchange it for a surprise goodie.

もらえる景品もいろいろで、ツナフレークやポテトチップス、カレーソースにクリームパンなどなど！
The goodies included a variety of treats—tuna flakes, potato chips, curry sauce, and even cream-filled bread!

どれが当たるかは運しだい、それもまた楽しみのひとつです。
What you got depended on your luck—and that added to the fun!

応援している私たちも、一緒に笑ったり驚いたり、とても賑やかな時間になりました。
Even as spectators, we laughed, got excited, and fully enjoyed the lively atmosphere.

みんなが一生懸命走って、応援して、喜んで…心が一つになるような素晴らしいひとときでした。
Everyone was running their best, cheering with joy—it truly felt like a moment where everyone’s hearts were united.

たくさんの元気と笑顔に出会えて、私たちも元気をもらいました！
Being surrounded by so much energy and so many smiles gave us a boost of happiness too!

また来年も、こんな素敵な運動会に参加できたらうれしいですね。
We’d love to be part of such a wonderful Sports Day again next year.
